The inauguration ceremony of the AGM was attended by CNG member families and guests from other Nepali organizations in GTA. In the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Nav Raj Gurung,
President – NRN-Canada, highlighted the current NRN-regulations implemented by the government of Nepal, and NRN-Canada's role & objectives towards future developments.
Mr. Kiran Pant, President - NCNC, emphasized the need of unity among all the Nepalese living in Canada in order to help out our native country's future development.
Mr. Pant also highlighted the need for an official meeting place for all Nepalese community organizations working within GTA.
Mr. Prakash Lal Pradhan, President - CNG and chair of the event, highlighted all the past activities carried out by CNG and its role towards other Nepalese community organizations.
Mr. Bimal M. Shrestha, Joint Secretary - CNG, gave the vote of thanks to all the guests and CNG family members for their kind participation. The AGM was adjourned for a lunch break.
A lunch was provided to all the guests and CNG family members who attended the AGM.
In the afternoon, the AGM continued under Mr. Prakash Lal Pradhan, the president of CNG and chairman of the event. Altogether, 33 family members were registered for
the AGM in the registry book installed by CNG at the registration desk.
Mr. Pradeep Lal Shrestha, General Secretary-CNG, presented the all the annual activities report of the CNG. He also presented the future plan & upcoming programs for
2009 being organized by CNG. Mr. Rajendra Shrestha, Treasurer – CNG, presented its fiscal year 2008 annual income and expenditure report as of March 31st, 2009.
All CNG family members attended passed the annual report presented by the General Secretary and the financial report presented by the Treasurer by raising hands and also clapping hands.
The AGM also accepted and approved the resignation application submitted by Mr. Roshan raj Karmacharya, Vice President - CNG, due to his move from Brampton to Ottawa.
Later in the AGM, the President tabled a proposal to reorganize the present Executive Committee in order to fill the vacant Vice President position. The AGM unanimously
elected Mr. Pradeep Lal Shrestha as a new Vice President, Mr. Bimal Man Shrestha as a new General Secretary,
Mr. Rabin Pradhan as a new Joint Secretary and Mr. Santa Rajbhandari as a new executive member. Below given is the new structure of CNG Executive Committee:

The AGM also unanimously decided to form "Lyamha Puchaw", a sub committee of youths from the CNG family members to raise awareness of newa culture of Nepali community among youths.
Lastly, the AGM also authorized the executive committee to formulate and implement CNG Administrative and Financial Rules and present it in next AGM for ratification.
The meeting was concluded at 3:15 PM.
